Throwing a house party is a headache. The preparations before, the mental and physical energy exerted, cost of food and drinks, not to mention the aftermath cleanup; totally exhausting. Yet, one side benefit cannot be ignored: during the preparations, the chore of organizing the house, means finally removing some items that needed discarding, garbage or storage, ages ago. It makes one wonder why didn’t we do it earlier, clear up room, clean up the mess; it feels so much nicer.
Looking at the space emptied of clutter I can only wonder: how long until new useless stuff starts piling up.
When it does, the solution is obvious – throwing another house party…
