That first dive

Bless me Poseidon, for I have sinned. It has been well over a year since my last dive.
Back in the water. That first virgin dive, that first breath of compressed air, the first sighting of a reef and its lush surrounding underwater wildlife; oh! how much I’ve missed it.
Like that first warm sunny day after a long cold winter, the taste of rain to a desert survivor, a kiss after years of separation. You get the point.
For those who love to dive, no further explanation is necessary; for those who don’t, my condolences.
Either way, whatever it is you love doing, do not wait as long as I did.
As the corny saying goes: tomorrow is today.

Learned from: first dive of the trip.
