Do I really want to eat Hand-Made?

Some items would be considered of higher quality if made by hand. Fine violins and artistic pottery come to mind. But do I really want to consume food that was made by the hands of someone other than a person I intimately know?
Yes, I am sure the bakery workers of this reputable pita bread bakery wear latex gloves and funny hats. But I can only imagine Joseph telling his wife, “I have this tingle in my throat but I’ve missed already one too many days at work so I am going to go there anyhow. Ah-choo! God damn it, let me wipe this up my sleeve…”
What can I say, there are some objects, food definitely included, that I rather have made by a machine. R2-D2, where are you when I need you?!

Learned from: reading the print on the pita bread wrapping

  1. Loved your post! This sounds like something my husband says. He hates the idea the people use their hands to make his food. 🙂
