I do not blame the Kardashians, nor Kanye West and Miley Cyrus; not even Donald Trump. It is foolish to expect a peacock or a pig, a snake or a fox to behave other than their inborn nature.
I do not blame the media; the TV producers, newspaper and radio editors; not even the different online news outlets. A whore will do what she (or he) can to sell themselves. That is the nature of their profession.
That leaves out only the public; yeah, that means us.
Once no one, ever again, looks at a webpage featuring news about Kanye West, tunes in to find out what’s up with the Kardashians, or rushes to share the latest insults imparted by Mr. Trump, the media whore will read the message loud and clear. Low ratings equal no screen-time, and no screen-time equals… oblivion.
Can you imagine a world where the news is all about good deeds happening all across the globe, versus the gossip we got so accustomed to calling ‘news’?
A world were real heroes are celebrated versus celebrities of their own making?
We just need a few more millions to follow and it will all be so much better.
